03rd October 2024: APM Terminals Pipavav inaugurated the Jhaverchand Meghani Learning Resource Centre in Thavi, a sub-village of Bherai, as part of its ongoing commitment to education and community development. The centre, named after renowned Gujarati laureate Shri Jhaverchand Meghani, will provide quality education to over 40 children from underprivileged families in the area. The centre was inaugurated by Shri Subir Mehrotra, Head of Engineering, and Shri Jignesh Adhyaru, Head of Projects, senior leadership from APM Terminals as well as village representatives. This new facility is part of APM Terminals Pipavav’s broader commitment to education through its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives. 27 September 2024: Ashoka University, India’s premier interdisciplinary higher education and research institution today successfully concluded its second edition of “Building Foundations for Inclusive Higher Education” conclave at the India Habitat Center (IHC). The event brought together experts from leading universities, institutions, and NGOs from across India to advance conversations on creating more inclusive higher education systems for students with disabilities. 06th September 2024: The Tribal Area Development Department, under the Government of Rajasthan, signed MoU with Magic Bus India Foundation to introduce life skills education into the curriculum of Ashram Hostels and Residential Schools. This collaboration will equip approximately 42,000 adolescents with life skills through a teacher and warden-led, activity-based life skills education programme tailored to the specific needs of the State’s tribal communities, across 440 Ashram Hostels and 53 Residential Schools in 25 districts, ensuring that life skills education reaches some of the most underprivileged population in the state.
