Ocean Industries to navigate the effects of over-exploitation and climate change through Cognizant® Ocean introduced by Cognizant

 A recent announcement by Cognizant (Nasdaq: CTSH) stated  that it is had  created a new business group, Cognizant® Ocean, which would  focus on helping clients in the “Blue Economy”  to apply digital technologies, such as AI and data analytics, with a view to improving their business outcomes, reducing their carbon output and decarbonizing the oceans.  The aim of Cognizant Ocean is to  drive efficiency, sustainability,  and growth in the Blue Economy. This encompasses a wide range of sectors that operate in and around the world’s oceans, which include marine transportation, shipping, offshore oil and gas, marine renewables, marine conservation an aquaculture  among others. These industries play a vital  role in the global economy since they provide various goods and services.

Jagat Pharma & Dr Basu Eye Hospital organise a special eye care camp for AITWA associated drivers

13th June, 2023: In a bid to further their commitment and show support to the National Road Safety Plan, Jagat Pharma & Dr. Basu Eye Hospital collaborated with the All India Transporters Welfare Association (AITWA.) This initiative promoted eye health by organizing a special eye care camp for all the drivers associated with AITWA. The camp was held at NECC Transport, UP Border. A host of activities that benefitted the visual well-being of the drivers were organised at the camp. Skilled optometrists initiated comprehensive eye check-ups and identified any underlying eye conditions or any potential issues that might impact the visual well-being of the drivers and prevent them from discharging their duties safely. This World Ocean Day Project KEEP concludes 75IEC events in India @75 through Collective Action in Waste Ecosystem of Pondicherry

12 June, 2023:In a bid to make Pondicherry one of the cleanest coastal cities in the country, an initiative KEEP has been implemented by Recity Network and supported by Godrej Consumer Products. The development of contextualized, inclusive and resilient models for solid waste management in Pondicherry is undertaken. This World Ocean Day, project KEEP Namma Pondy Clean and Pondicherry Municipality successfully completed 75 events to coincide with the 75th anniversary of India. Last year on the 15th of August the campaign to conduct 75 events in the upcoming span of 12 years was launched. 9th June, 2023:The CSR arm of Cyient Ltd, Cyient Foundation, a global Engineering and Technology Solutions company, announced the foundation stone laying on the 8th June 2023 at Mahabubnagar for a novel Rural Skill Development Centre (RSDC).  This was inaugurated by Shri K. Licious achieves Plastic Neutrality reaffirming its’ commitment to grow sustainably

3 June 2023: On the occasion of World Environment Day, Indian meat & seafood brand Licious, strengthened its efforts to grow sustainably by announcing its commitment to be plastic-neutral. The brand announced that in association with sustainability partner Recykal, which is a digital solutions company in circularity and sustainability it had already achieved plastic neutrality for FY2022 and taken strides in the environment friendly direction by being “Responsibly Licious.” Recykal assisted Licious in the successful recovery of 530 metric tons of plastic waste in the financial year 2021-22 through its Plastic Neutrality solution. Global seedball campaign by Amma seeks to reduce global warming and mitigate climate change

31 May, 2023 :Faridabad recently witnessed the launch of The Global seedball campaign. AYUDH (International youth wing of Mata Amritanandamayi Math, Amrita Hospital, and Amrita University jointly launched This campaign as one of their numerous C20 initiatives directed towards the welfare of the world.  Shri Mata Amritanandamayi Devi (Amma), Chairperson, Civil 20 India 2023 launched this global campaign under her guidance in April this year. The target is to manufacture 1 million seedballs in 2023. This campaign is being implemented all over the world by the C-20, AYUDH and the SRC Working Group.  Under G20 the official engagement groups have been formed and C20 is one of them.  Reach to Teach Foundation receives a five year grant of INR 5 crore as support from Murty Trust

The Murty Trust, which is the family foundation of Mr. Narayana Murthy and Mrs Sudha Murthy, has extended a 5 crore support for 5 years to the Reach to Teach Foundation. Reach to Teach is rolling out a Comprehensive School Transformation programme in the North East. Seed support will be provided to Reach to Teach along with strengthening the sustainability and credibility of its’ programme through this grant.
