News Update/Press Release PUNE, 29 September 2021 — For families with inadequate and substandard housing, the COVID-19 pandemic was a dire threat. Taking shelter at home was unsafe or even impossible for people living in vulnerable conditions.  A safe and decent home can be the frontline of defense against the coronavirus. Habitat for Humanity India, a housing nonprofit that helps low-income families build homes and improved sanitation facilities, has partnered with LG Electronics (LG) for a community development project for the people of Kharoshi village located in Khed taluka of Pune district, Maharashtra. Cybersecurity through WCF’s CyberSmart Platform

News Update/press release Mumbai and New Delhi, September 27, 2021:  WNS Cares Foundation (WCF), the CSR arm of WNS, today announced that it has partnered with CHILDLINE India Foundation (CIF), the nodal agency of the Union Ministry of Women and Child Development, Government of India, to educate over 7 lakh children and youth on the basics of cybersafety, using WCF’s CyberSmart platform. In phase one, WCF will train 300+ facilitators from the CIF in next three months. These facilitators will further train 11,000 participants from 1,000+ NGOs, who will then educate nearly 2 lakh children on cybersafety using CyberSmart.In phase two, starting April 2022, over 5 lakh children and 1 lakh+ teachers, parents, partners and community members will be trained as

Rejuvenation of 17 Ponds in Maharashtra

News Update New Delhi, 20th September, 2021: Ambuja Cement Foundation (ACF) in collaboration with ATE Chandra Foundation had rejuvenated traditional water bodies in Pali District of Rajasthan and Chandrapur district of Vidarbha region just in time of the annual monsoon season. Through such efforts, 166 million litres of additional water storage capacities have been created by desilting community ponds in 50 villages of both districts. The project also received immense participation from the local community members and gram panchayat in selecting the water bodies to be rejuvenated and monitoring the whole revival process. 75% of the project cost is covered by the community with some of them bringing excavation machines and tractors to desilt the ponds with the silt being transported to
