Free Eye Check-up and awareness camp on World Sight Day

News update/press release New Delhi, 13 October, 2021 – On the occasion of World Sight Day, ENTOD Pharmaceuticals will conduct 30 free eye check-up and cataract camps across different locations. Apart from offering free screenings to people, the campaign will raise awareness on the importance of eye health, diseases that can occur and even offer free medication samples to people.  Raising awareness about the importance of regular vision screening is crucial in India where poor vision affects nearly 550 million people and costs the economy US$37 billion every year in lost productivity. News Update/Press Release Delhi, 13 October 2021: Vistara, a joint venture of Tata group and Singapore Airlines, today announced the reach and impact of the second phase of its flagship CSR program – ‘Vistara Wellness Initiative’. The airline has reached out to the most marginalized and vulnerable families with 4,000 wellness kits, comprising hygiene and nutrition essentials, bringing relief to more than 16,000 beneficiaries affected by the second wave of the COVID-19 pandemic. Masks for the protection of our protectors

News Update/Press Release Mumbai, October 8th 2021, Friday: NGO Vision Rescue contributed 50,000 N-95 masks to the Mumbai police at a handover ceremony at the Office of the Additional Commissioner of Police, Bandra West, yesterday morning. One lakh N-95 masks were donated to the non-profit Vision Rescue by a Sydney donor and were flown to India free of cost by Cathay Pacific airlines.                             50,000 of these N-95 masks were handed over by Mr. Biju Thampy, founder Vision Rescue, to the Additional Commissioner of Police Sandeep Karnik on October 8th, 2021. In Maharashtra, these plants are being set up in Pune, Ratnagiri and Solapur districts to support healthcare infrastructure in preparation for an anticipated third wave of the COVID-19 pandemic.
