EaseMyTrip imports oxygen concentrators to help fight the second wave of the pandemic
New Delhi, 18th May, 2021: Easy Trip Planners Limited (EaseMyTrip), one of India’s leading travel agency, has extended its support to the country in its battle against the second wave of the pandemic by importing over 550 oxygen concentrators into the country. The concentrators which have been imported from China and Dubai are majorly of 5 and 10 litres with a purity of 93% at all levels.
The imported concentrators have been donated to hospitals such as Yashoda hospital and Le Crest Hospital, and foundations and NGOs across the country such as Khalsa Aid, Vishwa Foundation, Gautam Gambhir Foundation, Virender Sehwag Foundation and Gracia Raina Foundation, among others. The concentrators were also donated to Covidresources.in, a national Covid resource repository initiative run by volunteers across the country. Apart from this, the company is also supporting UnitedByBlood, a foundation that helps patients connect with plasma donors on a real-time basis.
The concentrators have also been shared with the Ministry of Tourism, Ministry of Civil Aviation, Central Reserve Police Office (CRPO), National Student Union of India (NSUI) and the UP Government, among others.
Commenting on the initiative, Mr. Rikant Pitti, Co-Founder and Executive Director, EaseMyTrip said, “EaseMyTrip has been committed in its efforts to address the increased demand of medical equipment during this time of need and is currently in the process of sourcing and importing more oxygen concentrators into the country from suppliers abroad. The company is also supporting the families of their Covid victim employees by providing financial support of Rs. 5 lakhs to the family and funding of Rs. 2 lakhs per child per year till their graduation, for the education of the children of the deceased.”
