Training on the optimal outcome for sugar cane farming is to be imparted to 300 operators through this program Sugarcane harvest operators from all over India can participate in this training program.

A new CSR initiative has been announced by Case IH, a brand of CNH Industrial, a leading global name in agriculture equipment – the Unnat Kaushal Sugarcane Harvester Operator Training. Sugar cane operators from all over India can participate in this program which has been introduced in collaboration with Krishi Vigyan Kendra ( KVK ) in Baramati, Maharashtra. This training to sugarcane farmers by Case IH is aimed at educating them on how to improve the overall efficiency and maximize the machine uptime of harvesting equipment. This will go a long way in encouraging sustainable sugarcane farming.

The first batch comprised 150 farmers, from the villages of Satara, Sangli, Kolhapur, and Baramati District. A total number of 300 operators in the age group of 18 – 35 years with minimum educational qualifications will be trained in this five-day program.

Commenting on this positive step, Sandeep Gupta, Agriculture India Sales and Development Leader, CNH Industrial mentioned that the Unnat Kaushal program could be seen as their commitment towards furthering sustainability in the agriculture industry. This programme would empower the sugarcane harvester operators with adequate skills and expertise to operate the equipment efficiently which in turn would lead to maximum productivity. This would then contribute towards minimizing costs and achieving a sustainable farming system. The company aims to include the maximum number of farmers in that region.

With a special focus on the rural regions of India, the company has been actively educating farmers and operators in these areas. With pronounced CSR initiatives in Haryana and Uttar Pradesh, last year, Case IH trained 600 farmers on pertinent subjects encompassing biomass management, state agricultural subsidies, financial literacy, and farm mechanization. As a global pioneer in mechanical sugarcane harvesting for 80 years,

Case IH has been actively engaging in improving the agricultural scenario. In India, the Austoft 4010 Maxx, with better cutting quality is engineered to keep optimal productivity in mind for the farmers. The lightweight and compact design assures flexibility for the sugarcane producers to operate under any field conditions.
