PNB Housing Finance enhances care and living conditions for nearly 700 senior citizens and vulnerable individualsGurugram, 15th June 2026: PNB Housing Finance has partnered with The Earth Saviours Foundation (TESF) to strengthen shelter and healthcare infrastructure for abandoned senior citizens, people requiring cognitive care and specialised support, impoverished women and other vulnerable individuals at Mandawar Shelter Home in Gurugram, Haryana.

Through this initiative, PNB Housing Finance has helped expand shelter, healthcare and energy infrastructure at Mandawar Shelter Home, including the construction of a fully insulated double-storey shelter home, the installation of two 20 KVA off-grid solar plants and the provision of 50 electric medical beds. Together, these interventions are expected to directly benefit around 100 additional residents while strengthening care facilities for nearly 700 individuals. The electric medical beds will improve comfort and quality of care for immobile, terminally ill residents, while the solar plants will ensure reliable, sustainable energy support for the facility.

Ajai Kumar Shukla, MD & CEO, PNB Housing Finance Limited, said, “At PNB Housing Finance, we believe meaningful progress is reflected in the lives we help improve. Our partnership with The Earth Saviours Foundation enables us to support abandoned senior citizens, people requiring specialised care and other vulnerable individuals by providing access to safe shelter, quality healthcare and a more dignified living environment. By strengthening critical infrastructure at Mandawar Shelter Home, we hope foster long-term stability and well-being for individuals who depend on these facilities daily.”

Jas Kalra, President, The Earth Saviours Foundation, said, Every day, our shelter cares for abandoned individuals who depend entirely on us for support. PNB Housing Finance is helping us expand by adding crucial new infrastructure to our existing facility. This addition allows us to improve our medical care, safety, and living conditions. Their contribution significantly boosts our ability to provide a secure and comfortable home for the hundreds of vulnerable people in our care.”

Through this initiative, PNB Housing Finance continues to advance its commitment to community development and social impact, building upon its support to the organization three years ago when it provided essential mobility aids, specialized medical beds, and sustainable energy infrastructure. This ongoing collaboration furthers the company’s mission while encouraging employee participation in efforts that create meaningful and lasting change at the grassroots level.
