IGATPURI, MAHARASHTRA – August 14, 2026 — Marking the nation’s 80th Independence Day with patriotic fervor and social responsibility, Nirvana Naturopathy and Retreat organized a vibrant celebration at Government Ashram School Dhamangaon in Igatpuri. Beyond the festive proceedings and an eco-friendly tree plantation drive, the wellness retreat extended meaningful support to the students by gifting a power inverter, nutritious food packages, and educational stationery.

The event commenced with the traditional hoisting of the National Flag, followed by the singing of the National Anthem. Students and staff joined the team from Nirvana Naturopathy for cultural performances, patriotic songs, and interactive games designed to engage the children and inspire a spirit of community and learning.

Following the celebration, Gurumaa Yogita Khatri, Founder of Nirvana Naturopathy and Retreat, led a special tree plantation drive on the school premises before handing over essential items directly to the school administration and students:

  • Tree Plantation Drive:A green initiative where saplings were planted across the campus to foster environmental awareness and create a cleaner, greener environment for the students.
  • Uninterrupted Power:A high-capacity power inverter was presented to ensure consistent lighting and electricity during local grid outages, allowing uninterrupted classroom learning.
  • Educational Supplies:Students received comprehensive stationery kits containing notebooks, pens, pencils, and art materials to support their daily academic work.
  • Nutrition:Fresh, nutritious food packs were distributed to all the children during the festivities.

“True independence begins with access to education, good health, a sustainable environment, and community support,” said Gurumaa Yogita Khatri, Founder of Nirvana Naturopathy and Retreat. “By celebrating alongside these bright young students at Government Ashram School Dhamangaon, planting trees for a greener tomorrow, and providing tools that support their everyday learning environment, we hope to contribute to a brighter future for the region.”

The school administration, teaching staff, and local village elders expressed deep gratitude to Nirvana Naturopathy and Retreat for their thoughtful gesture and ongoing commitment to rural community welfare.
