CG Power and Industrial Solutions Limited, in collaboration with Sky Social, is implementing the CG Power × Sky Social Community Health & Youth Leadership Initiative 2026 in Amoda village, Madhya Pradesh, with the aim of strengthening community awareness around health, hygiene, well-being, responsible choices and youth leadership.
The programme takes a community-wide approach, with interactive sessions and conversations involving girls and boys, school-going children, adolescent boys and girls, young men, youth groups, peer leaders, Panchayat representatives and other village community members.
The sessions cover a range of issues including:
- Personal health, hygiene and healthy everyday practices
- Menstrual health and hygiene
- Puberty, body changes and growing up
- Period-related myths and misconceptions
- Nutrition and sanitation
- De-addiction and awareness around tobacco, alcohol and substance abuse
- Peer pressure and healthy decision-making
- Mental and emotional well-being
- Communication, confidence, teamwork and youth leadership
With girls, the conversations create a safe space to discuss menstrual health, hygiene, body changes, nutrition and the challenges they may experience while growing up. Sanitary pads are also distributed as part of the sessions, supporting informed and dignified menstrual hygiene practices.
With boys and young men, the programme focuses on health and hygiene as well as conversations around de-addiction, tobacco, alcohol, substance abuse, peer pressure and healthy choices. Through interactive discussions, role plays and real-life examples, participants are encouraged to reflect on the impact of these behaviours on their health, relationships, families and communities.
Community Health, Drug De-addiction and Youth Leadership Programme 2026
The programme also brings Panchayat representatives, village leaders and community members into the conversation, recognising that creating healthier environments for young people requires collective participation. These discussions focus on community health, awareness, dignity, responsible choices and the role of local stakeholders in supporting children and young people.
The initiative also identifies and engages young participants as peer leaders, strengthening their communication, confidence, teamwork, problem-solving and leadership skills so that they can become positive influences within their schools and communities.
The programme is informed by community-level assessments with adolescents, students, teachers and community members, helping ensure that the conversations and activities respond to the realities and needs of the local community.
Through this approach, the initiative goes beyond one-time awareness. It seeks to create community-level conversations where children and young people can ask questions openly, challenge myths, make informed choices and build confidence, while families and local stakeholders become part of creating healthier and more supportive environments.
Together, CG Power and Sky Social are taking conversations around health, dignity, sustainability, responsible choices and youth leadership into rural schools and communities, one conversation at a time.
