Vijayawada, 12 October 2026: SEIL Energy India Limited, one of the largest independent power producers (IPP) in India, today announced the development of a 10-kilometre Raw Water Pumping Project at Juvvalapalem village in Undi Constituency, West Godavari district, Andhra Pradesh, as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives.
The project was formally inaugurated by Shri Kanumuru Raghu Rama Krishna Raju Garu, Hon’ble Deputy Speaker and MLA, Undi Constituency, Government of Andhra Pradesh, in the august presence of Shri Bhupathiraju Srinivasa Varma Garu, Hon’ble Minister of State for Steel and Heavy Industries, Government of India, and Member of Parliament, Narsapuram, and Shri Mantena Rama Raju Garu, Chairman, Andhra Pradesh Industrial Infrastructure Corporation (APIIC).
The project has been developed with a CSR contribution of ₹1.56 crore from SEIL Energy India Limited to address the longstanding challenge of access to potable water faced by communities in five villages (Kalavapudi, Pallipalem, Prathella Meraka, Modi, SC Bose Colony) in the region. For decades, residents have struggled with drinking water scarcity due to salinity in the surrounding areas, affecting access to safe and suitable drinking water for daily needs.
With the commissioning of this project, approximately 10,000 people across five villages are expected to benefit from improved access to drinking water, offering relief to local communities and contributing to better public health, well-being and quality of life.
