PEAK’ 2017 A Day Full of Positive Energy

In pursuit of motivating youth with positivity and providing sustainability to the children from underprivileged family, Plus Approach foundation of Delhi has been actively working for the past six years. The foundation has worked closely to create employment and also provide health care facilities for families mainly in Uttarakhand. As a part of its positivity campaign the foundation organizes an annual positivity seminar to spread positive words of thought amongst youth.

The aim of this one day conclave was to motivate youth to live a happy and peaceful life by practicing positivity in their daily life. This year the program was held at the SCOPE auditorium, Lodhi Road, New Delhi on September 16, 2017 in partnership with United Nation’s Global Compact Network India. More than 350 youth from educational institutions, corporate houses and other organisation participated. The day started with renowned journalist Padma Shri Rajdeep Sardesai and Padma Shri Puspesh Pant delivering talks.

The event gave a good opportunity to listen to some of the eminent speakers like Madhu Kishwar, Helena Seelinger, Elaine Bowman, Dr A K Mishra (MD Chanakya Academy), Prof PS Rathore (The firewalker motivational speaker), Prof. N K Goyal (The man who contributed to the telecommunication revolution in India) and few more. Besides various positive sessions, a short play on ‘YES, I CAN’ was staged by Parvatiya Kala Manch. The theme of the event was PEAK – Prayas Ek Aur Kadam (Making one more effort). Cricket legend Kapil Dev, graced the occasion as the chief guest. He was joined by Shri Ashwani Lohani Chairman Railway Board and delivered an energetic positive address to the youth.

On this occasion the foundation for the first time conducted award ceremony, ‘PEAK Awards’ to honour the unsung heroes of the society who have contributed for the development of the society. Six such NGOs working in various spheres were identified from Uttarakhand, and each of them were awarded Rs. 21000/- . Adopting a positive and sustainable approach the core team of the foundation is focused to bring a positive change amongst human lives.
