Alpesh Kailash Napte’s Visionary CSR-ESG Model: Road Safety to Biodiversity

In a visionary leap toward sustainable infrastructure, Alpesh Kailash Napte is championing a multi-pronged initiative under MALHAR ROADLINES and SGVBS FOUNDATION that redefines road safety, ecological conservation, and climate action. His flagship CSR-ESG project, “Road Safety to Biodiversity,” is a pioneering model that integrates truck driver wellness, decarbonization of heavy transport, and biodiversity restoration—anchored by cutting-edge technology.

Truck Driver Fitness Certification: Currentlu having with 1000+ truck drivers data for Safety Begins with Health Recognizing the critical role of truck drivers in India’s freight economy, Napte’s initiative introduces a structured fitness certification program. Drivers undergo health screenings, digital training, and wellness support to meet safety standards. This not only reduces accident risks but also elevates the social impact of logistics operations, aligning with ESG goals for workforce well-being.

Decarbonizing Heavy Trucking: Climate-Forward Logistics India’s heavy-duty trucks contribute significantly to transport emissions. Alpesh’s project promotes the transition to low-emission fleets through electrification, biodiesel adoption, and route optimization. Collaborating with national frameworks like the Zero Emission Trucking Roadmap2, the initiative supports fleet operators in adopting clean technologies and reducing their carbon footprint.

Penganga Wildlife Sanctuary: Biodiversity as a CSR Priority The heart of the project lies in Painganga Wildlife Sanctuary spread 325 sq km, a rich ecosystem in Maharashtra. Napte’s team (LCs) is restoring degraded habitats, building eco-bridges, and creating green corridors to protect species like sloth bears, gaurs, crocodiles, and 900 species by IUCN report in danger. Corporate CSR funding fuels this effort, turning conservation into a shared responsibility.

Tech-Enabled Impact: The PESBIO Token Central to the initiative is the PesBio token, a blockchain-powered digital asset that tracks and rewards biodiversity-positive actions. Stakeholders—fleet operators, contractors, and communities—earn tokens for implementing eco-friendly practices. These tokens can be redeemed for ESG certifications as per global sustainable standards or reinvested into conservation, creating a transparent and gamified ecosystem of accountability.
