APM

Pipavav, Gujarat, May 13th, 2026: In a significant step towards strengthening emergency healthcare infrastructure in rural Gujarat, APM Terminals Pipavav supported the establishment of the Sanjivini Emergency Care Centre, a 12-bed trauma and emergency care facility at Mahatma Gandhi Arogya Kendra in Rajula, Gujarat. The initiative is expected to benefit thousands of residents across Rajula and neighbouring talukas, where access to advanced emergency medical facilities has remained limited.

The Sanjivini Emergency Care Centre was inaugurated by the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Gujarat, Shri Bhupendra Patel, in the presence of Shri Praful Panesariya, Health Minister, Government of Gujarat, trustees of Shri Ramkrushna Arogya Seva Trust, and several other dignitaries. The inauguration ceremony was also graced by the presence of renowned spiritual leader Pujya Morari Bapu.

Mahatma Gandhi Arogya Kendra has been promoted and established by Shri Ramkrushna Arogya Seva Trust with the vision of providing quality healthcare free of cost, to villagers across Rajula and surrounding talukas. The hospital currently offers indoor and outdoor treatment facilities including dental care, gynaecology services, dialysis unit, X-ray and pathology laboratory, physiotherapy department, and a medical store. In the coming years, the hospital also plans to introduce specialised departments such as orthopaedics, cardiology, and general surgery, further strengthening healthcare access for the region.

Recognising the urgent need for immediate trauma and emergency response services in the area, APM Terminals Pipavav supported the development of the 12-bed Sanjivini Emergency Care Centre equipped to handle critical medical emergencies including road accidents, drowning incidents, cardiac emergencies, industrial accidents, and other life-threatening conditions. The centre is expected to play a crucial role in reducing response time and improving access to critical care for communities located far from major urban healthcare facilities.
ApmOver the years, APM Terminals Pipavav has supported free accessible healthcare services for villagers and surrounding communities through initiatives such as the Port Medical Centre, Mobile Health Unit, 24×7 Advanced Life Support Ambulance, 24×7 Boat Ambulance service for Shiyalbet, bi-monthly eye check-up and cataract surgery camps, as well as Mobile Veterinary Clinics and Animal Health Camps.

Speaking on the initiative, Mr. Girish Aggarwal, Managing Director, APM Terminals Pipavav, said: “Access to timely emergency care remains one of the most critical healthcare requirements for any community. Through the Sanjivini Emergency Care Centre, we hope to contribute towards a stronger and more responsive healthcare ecosystem for Rajula and surrounding areas. At APM Terminals Pipavav, our community initiatives are centred around creating long-term social value through accessible healthcare, preparedness, and meaningful grassroots engagement.”

Healthcare accessibility continues to remain a key focus area within APM Terminals Pipavav’s CSR initiatives. Through sustained investments in preventive healthcare, emergency medical response, and outreach services, the company continues to work towards improving the quality of life across communities in and around Pipavav.
