Bank of Baroda Marks The International Day of Yoga 2026

BoB yoga day celebration 1 - divya talwarMumbai, 22nd June 2026: On the occasion of International Day of Yoga, themed “Yoga for Healthy Ageing”, Bank of Baroda, one of India’s leading public sector banks, reaffirmed its commitment to employee well-being and holistic wellness by organising in-person yoga sessions across its Corporate Office and zonal offices nationwide, guided by certified Yoga instructors. 

Further, in the run-up to the Bank’s 119th Foundation Day on 20th July 2026, Bank of Baroda announced the launch of a free online daily Yoga & Wellness Programme for all employees, in collaboration with Sri Sri School of Yoga (The Art of Living Foundation), starting from 22nd June 2026. The initiative aims to promote physical fitness, mental well-being and healthy ageing, while encouraging employees to adopt a balanced and healthy lifestyle.  

Speaking on the occasion, Shri Lal Singh, Executive Director, Bank of Baroda said, “The International Day of Yoga is a timely reminder of the role holistic wellness plays in enriching both our personal and professional lives. At Bank of Baroda, we aim to create a healthier, happier and more resilient workforce through a range of wellness initiatives. Employee wellbeing remains integral to our organisational culture.”

As part of its focus on fostering a healthy and supportive work environment, the Bank has implemented several employee wellness initiatives. These include annual health check-ups, tele/video consultations with doctors, an Employee Assistance Programme (EAP), mindfulness workshops and CPR training for employees. in addition, the Bank also supports employees through initiatives such as nutrition allowance for expecting women employees, reimbursement for marathon participation & specific vaccinations, and financial assistance for health-related needs, including support for employees with disabilities.
