“Protecting Women, Preventing Cervical Cancer”: Aahwahan Foundation’s Initiative CERVIVOUR to eradicate cervical cancer

23rd May 2025: The commitment of raising awareness and eradicating cervical cancer, Aahwahan Foundation has started an initiative, “Protecting Women, Preventing Cervical Cancer”, aimed at empowering women against the battle of cervical cancer. According to research conducted by the India Human Papillomavirus (HPV) and Related Cancers in 2021, every year, 1,23,907 women are diagnosed with cervical cancer, and 77,348 die from the disease. The situation of women and children in rural areas and the underprivileged section of society remains most affected due to a lack of proper treatment, facilities, financial aid, etc.  Through this initiative, the foundation provides free HPV vaccinations to thousands of women and children in rural and financially disadvantaged communities who face barriers to accessing healthcare facilities.

‘Cycles of Hope’ in Sonbhadra: Avaada Foundation Empowers 150 Tribal Students

9th May 2025: In a step toward making education more accessible for children in remote tribal areas, Avaada Foundation distributed bicycles to 150 students from the remote tribal villages of Chichlik, Basuhari, Adgud and Channi in Uttar Pradesh’s Sonbhadra district. This initiative, titled ‘Cycles of Hope’, is aimed at supporting children who have to walk long and difficult routes to reach school. Speaking at the event, Ms. Ritu Patwari, Director of Avaada Foundation, said: “We believe education is key to a society’s holistic development. These bicycles will not only make it easier for children to attend school, but also boost their confidence and self-reliance. EcoGram by Hyundai: A Model Biogas Plant and Material Recovery Facility

21st April 2025: Situated in the heart of Gurugram, Haryana, EcoGram by Hyundai is HMIF’s sustainable answer for waste management concerns in metropolitan cities. The unit is an eco-friendly initiative in the form of a Biogas plant and Material Recovery Facility, saving considerable amount of waste from ending up in landfills. Operational since October 2022, the facility recycles waste to promote circular economy practices. Process of Collecting and Recyclying Waste: With the support of Municipal Corporation of Gurugram (MCG), wet and dry waste is collected from 20 bulk waste generators comprising RWAs, corporate offices, and commercial complexes. The collected waste is transported to the facility in co-ordination with concerned authorities and MCG empaneled agencies for further processing. The facility processes wet

16th April 2025: Technip Energies, a global technology and engineering powerhouse, has announced the third edition of its India Scholarship Program awardees for the academic year 2024–25. Under the aegis of the company’s CSR initiative of ‘Enabling STEM Learning for Girls’, 100 meritorious students received a scholarship grant of INR 30,000 to continue their academic journey. Every year, meritorious women engineers from an economically disadvantaged section of the society enrolled in 1st year of Engineering are selected based on a rigorous evaluation process, which includes verification of academic performance, enrollment status, and income eligibility.
