INDIAN NEW SPACE AT INFLECTION

After 1947, a newly independent India began to reconstruct itself. During this time a young and dynamic researcher, Dr.Vikram Ambalal Sarabhai , envisioned the Indian space programme and focused mainly on the use of space technology for the benefit of the common man. The Indian space journey, in a true sense, is set to have begun on 21st November 1963 when the first sounding rocket, Nike Apache, was launched from Thumba Equatorial Rocket launching station (TERLS) in the Southern Indian state of Kerala. Dr. Vikram Sarabhai’s dream project, the Satellite Instructional Television Experiment (SITE), began in August 1975 and lasted one year. As a result, people in 2400 villages across six states in rural India now have access to television.

Cyient Foundation and 100 Days Later Foundation lay the foundation of the  first Rural Skill Development Centre

9th June, 2023:The CSR arm of Cyient Ltd, Cyient Foundation, a global Engineering and Technology Solutions company, announced the foundation stone laying on the 8th June 2023 at Mahabubnagar for a novel Rural Skill Development Centre (RSDC).  This was inaugurated by Shri K. T. Rama Rao, Honourable Minister of IT, Telangana. Also present on the occasion were Honourable Minister, Labour & Employment, Factories, Govt. of Telangana, Shri. Wheeling in wellness in Karnataka and other states of India

An advanced mobile community clinic “Wellness on Wheels’’ recently witnessed a joint inauguration by Ma r t i n Lundstedt, President & CEO, Volvo AB and Dr. Devi Shetty, Chairman Narayana Health. This was recently built by the Volvo Group in partnership with Narayana Health. The President and MD Volvo Group India, Mr. Kamal Bali accompanied by a team of doctors from Narayan Health and Group officials of Volvo Bengaluru, were also present at this inauguration. This CSR initiative provides medical services including free screening in the rural parts of Karnataka, and other states in the country as well.

New Delhi; December 18, 2021; UN GCNI organized a Fireside Chat titled “Corruption and Our Role: Reflections and Resolutions for the 2030 Agenda” observing the International Anti-Corruption Day (IACD) on 9th December 2021, with eminent experts from Business, Education, Gender, Sports, Health and Technology to discuss their roles in promoting anti-corruption as individuals, organizations and moreover collectively as a society. Over 400 participants registered and joined us in this discussion. This event was preceded by an awareness campaign from December 1, 2021 to December 9, 2021 titled – “Voice of Leaders on Fight against Corruption” in order to raise awareness against different forms of corruption across the sectors and encourage the leaders towards promoting integrity in business through collective action.
