Tata Chemicals helps in constructing a 3.3-km drainage channel for the benefit of 350 farmers in Gujarat

27 July ,2023:Water logging issues had been plaguing the farmers of the Nageshwar and Goriyali villages in Gujarat. This issue has been addressed jointly under the Sujalam Sufalam Yojana by the Tata Chemicals Society for Rural Development (TCSRD) and the Gujarat State Irrigation department. This state-wide water conservation initiative has provided support to construct a drainage channel that is 3.3 km long. Approximately 350 farmers with farmlands across 300 acres have benefitted from this project. An excavation of 35 farm ponds in 20 villages within a month, increasing the water storage capacity by 9 million cubic feet to support irrigation spread across 880 acres of agricultural land has also been undertaken by TCSRD. Community libraries to empower students, set up in rural areas of Assam by                             Vantage Circle and Xondhan Foundation    

Students in the rural areas of Bongaigaon, Assam, have received educational support, under the program of ‘Project Young Readers’. Vantage Circle an employee engagement platform, in collaboration with Xondhan Foundation, which is a nongovernmental organization (NGO) has successfully inaugurated a transformative community library with the aim of empowering young minds. Anil Agarwal Foundation’s MOU with the Government to develop 25,000 Nand Ghars across 13 districts of Rajasthan

9th Feb 2022, Jaipur: The Anil Agarwal Foundation on Tuesday signed an MOU with the Government of Rajasthan to develop 25,000 Nand Ghars across 13 districts. The MOU signing ceremony was attended by Rajasthan Chief Minister, Shri Ashok Gehlot and the Founder & Chairman of Vedanta Mr. Anil Agarwal. The initiative to establish 25,000 Nand Ghars is aimed to impact more than 10 lakh children and 7.5 lakh women across the State of Rajasthan. This modernization and service provisioning will be done jointly by Anil Agarwal Foundation and ICDS under WCD Rajasthan. Project Nand Ghar began its journey in the year 2015 with the vision to transform the lives of 7 crore children and 2 crore women across the 13.7

New Delhi, 7th December 2021: Thanks to Sir Mathuradas Vissanji Education Trust, Ambuja Cement Foundation (ACF) was able to install a CNC plasma cutting machine at its Skill & Entrepreneurship Development Institute (SEDI) in Ambujanagar and Chandrapur to encourage girls’ participation in machine operations and manufacturing and an AI Lab in SEDI Bhagwanpur offering advanced skills to rural youth. This partnership with Sir Mathuradas Vissanji aims to break gender stereotypes by inviting girls to get skilled in male-dominated areas. SEDI Ambujanagar has already enrolled 15 girls who will be trained on the CNC machine and programming for better job prospects in the industrial sector of the state. Rejuvenation of 17 Ponds in Maharashtra

News Update New Delhi, 20th September, 2021: Ambuja Cement Foundation (ACF) in collaboration with ATE Chandra Foundation had rejuvenated traditional water bodies in Pali District of Rajasthan and Chandrapur district of Vidarbha region just in time of the annual monsoon season. Through such efforts, 166 million litres of additional water storage capacities have been created by desilting community ponds in 50 villages of both districts. The project also received immense participation from the local community members and gram panchayat in selecting the water bodies to be rejuvenated and monitoring the whole revival process. 75% of the project cost is covered by the community with some of them bringing excavation machines and tractors to desilt the ponds with the silt being transported to
