Huhtamaki India Launches Skill Development Program for Youth in Rudrapur & Silvassa

9th December 2024: In a step that promises to transform lives and build dreams, Huhtamaki India, a leading provider of primary consumer packaging and decorative labeling solutions, and part of Huhtamaki Oyj, a Finnish-based global food packaging company, has launched a vocational training program for youth in Rudrapur and Silvassa. In collaboration with the InShakti Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to skill development, the initiative will equip 100 young individuals – predominantly women – in Rudrapur and Silvassa with industry skills that open doors to new opportunities, nurturing hopes and creating pathways to independence. Ayana Renewable Power launches Skills Development Centre in Gadag, Karnataka

18th July, 2023:Ayana Renewable Power, one of the largest Independent Power Producers (IPP) in India and backed by National Investment and Infrastructure Fund (NIIF), British International Investment (BII) and Green Growth Equity Fund, has inaugurated a state-of-the-art skills development centre to provide vocational training for the youth in the northern Karnataka region of Gadag District. It aims to transform a new generation of the local workforce by equipping them with the right skills for inclusive employment and economic growth. The vocational training program will be conducted in Gadag District where Ayana’s 300 MW wind power project is located and currently under construction. 9th June, 2023:The CSR arm of Cyient Ltd, Cyient Foundation, a global Engineering and Technology Solutions company, announced the foundation stone laying on the 8th June 2023 at Mahabubnagar for a novel Rural Skill Development Centre (RSDC).  This was inaugurated by Shri K. T. Rama Rao, Honourable Minister of IT, Telangana. Also present on the occasion were Honourable Minister, Labour & Employment, Factories, Govt. of Telangana, Shri. The packaging division of SM Toys, the world’s largest manufacturer of small toys, took a major step in the direction of woman empowerment and welfare. SM Toys offered sustainable job opportunities to more than 300 women, in a bid to support them in their self-sufficiency and financial independence. These women can earn between INR 7000 – 10000 per month. SM Toys paying due and appropriate cognisance to economic empowerment and gender equality has implemented this unique initiative of providing livelihood to empower women aged 24 to 45 years.
