Avashya Foundation’s commitment towards holistic development of underprivileged communities

PRESS RELEASE Avashya Foundation, the CSR arm of Allcargo Logistics, as part of its CSR initiative, adopted three villages and constructed 17 houses for underprivileged communities of the Panvel block in Raigad district, Maharashtra. Out of these, 14 houses were handed over in Dhamani (Choti Dhamni, Mothi Dhamni and Aushyachiwadi), and nearby villages like Sangtoli, and Shivansai. On the occasion of the birthday of Mr. Vaishnav Shetty, Executive Director, ECU Worldwide, these constructed houses were handed over to 13 female beneficiaries from women-headed households and four male beneficiaries inclusive of a person with disability and senior citizens. Dabur helps Government Schools in Udham Singh Nagar, Uttarakhand ready and COVID-safe

PRESS RELEASE Dabur India Ltd has joined hands with the Uttarakhand Government to make Government Schools in Udham Singh Nagar ready and COVID-safe to welcome children once the COVID-induced lockdown is lifted. As part of this initiative, Dabur is distributing portable battery-operated sanitizing machines, Sodium Hypochlorite Disinfectant solution and specially prepared face masks in fifteen Government schools. This special sanitation kit was distributed to the school principals by District Magistrate Ms. Ranjana Rajguru at a special function held in Rudrapur, Uttarakhand. UMBVS, Phalodi Rajasthan with Indian Exim Bank support started ‘Product & Design Development Program’

PRESS RELEASE Urmul Marusthali Bunkar Vikas Samiti (UMBVS), Phalodi, Rajasthan, is a not-for-profit organization established in 1989, for the welfare of weavers in the Great Thar Desert of Western Rajasthan. The weaving is being handled by a cluster of 50~60 weavers in 6 villages, namely Phalodi, Ranisar, Bhojasar, Bhiyasar, Karwar, Krishnanagar, near Jodhpur, Rajasthan. Phillips launched its dhobi empowerment initiative ‘Hausla Program’

PRESS RELEASE Philips, a global leader in health technology, recently launched its dhobi empowerment initiative ‘Hausla Program’, and has collaborated with Dhobi Kalyan Charitable Trust to assist 100 dhobis in Mumbai in reviving their business. The pandemic has adversely impacted the livelihood of dhobis and have been struggling to make ends meet with people being wary of giving clothes for ironing due to hygiene and safety concerns.  To overcome these challenges, Philips team visited dhobi shops and kiosks to provide them with protective gear including masks, gloves, sanitizers, face shields, and laundry bags to deliver clothes.
