Convergint Mumbai - Saaransh AgarwalThrough the ‘STEP Up for Schools’ program, Convergint India colleagues dedicate their 25th Annual Social Responsibility Day to supporting underserved educational institutions across India

India, June 5th, 2026:  Today, as part of Convergint’s 25th anniversary of global community impact, over 400 colleagues across India dedicated their time and expertise through the company’s 25th annual Convergint Social Responsibility Day, joining thousands of colleagues worldwide in supporting underserved schools and local communities. In India alone, teams are dedicating over 3,400 volunteer hours to support local schools and community institutions, with a strong focus on improving safety infrastructure and access to essential amenities in underserved communities.

In 2025, nearly 11,000 Convergint colleagues across 37 countries contributed approximately 60,000 volunteer hours supporting more than 174 community organisations and 35 schools worldwide.

A major focus in India this year is the STEP (Secure, Train, Educate, Protect) Up for Schools initiative, which aims to create safer learning environments for students and educators through the donation and installation of integrated security technologies and infrastructure enhancements. As schools increasingly prioritise student safety and infrastructure readiness, initiatives such as STEP Up for Schools play an important role in helping underserved institutions access critical security and safety solutions.

Convergint’s India teams completed significant upgrade projects at the following institutions:

Government School Bannerghatta, Bengaluru– Installed a video surveillance system with 6 cameras, upgraded electrical infrastructure, enhanced school gates and supported wall painting and campus clean-up activities to improve the overall learning environment for over 125 students and staff.

Government Girls School, Gurgaon Village, Gurugram– Installed video surveillance systems, upgraded electrical infrastructure, increased water storage tank capacity by 750 litres, and introduced stair safety strips to strengthen student safety measures across the campus.

BKP High School & Jr College, Mumbai– Donated essential educational resources including a water purifier, projector, notice boards, and tables valued at approximately INR 1,25,000/-, while also servicing the school’s existing video surveillance system to support a safer and more engaging learning environment.

Panchayat Union Middle School, Chennai– Supplied and installed new video surveillance systems and donated additional essential resources to support the school community and strengthen campus safety infrastructure.

Speaking about the initiative, B
hashkarvikram Rajkhowa, General Manager, North India, Convergint Asia Pacific, said, “As we mark Convergint’s 25th anniversary of Social Responsibility Day, we are proud of the meaningful impact we continue to create through collective action. The STEP Up for Schools initiative reflects our belief that every child deserves access to a safe and supportive learning environment. By partnering with schools across India through critical security upgrades and infrastructure support, we are helping create spaces where students and educators can thrive. At Convergint, social responsibility is not limited to a single day; it is a commitment we uphold throughout the year to drive lasting, positive change in the communities we serve.”Ann Fandozzi, CEO, Convergint, said, “Convergint Social Responsibility Day reflects a commitment our colleagues have carried forward for 25 years by showing up for the communities where we live and work. As we mark this milestone anniversary, we’re continuing to expand the impact of STEP Up for Schools alongside our partners to help provide safer, stronger learning environments for students and educators around the world.”

These efforts build on the strong momentum created last year, when Convergint teams in India contributed over 1,800 volunteer hours toward improving safety infrastructure and access to essential amenities across underserved communities. Convergint Gurugram 2 - Saaransh Agarwal

This year’s global efforts were further strengthened by support from more than 45 industry partners globally, and donations of equipment, professional services and volunteer time. Through the continued expansion of the STEP Up for Schools initiative, Convergint remains committed to supporting underserved schools worldwide with essential security upgrades and hands-on assistance tailored to each campus’s unique needs.

Since the launch of Convergint Social Responsibility Day in 2002, the company has dedicated one full paid workday each year, on the first Friday in June, to enable colleagues worldwide to serve their local communities. Since its launch in 2018, the STEP Up for Schools initiative has supported more than 150 schools through donated security upgrades, assessments and volunteer-led projects. As Convergint celebrates its 25th anniversary, both initiatives continue to expand their impact, helping create safer learning environments and stronger communities around the world.
