Envision launches Project Jeevan Setu to promote Health, Nutrition & Sanitation

22nd July 2025: The prestigious “Jeevan Setu Project” at the Mahal Premises in Village Amjhera, District Dhar, Madhya Pradesh, was unveiled by Smt. Savitri Thakur, Union Minister of State, Ministry of Women and Child Development, Government of India. The event was organized by the Institute for Sustainable Development Research and Reforms (ISDRR), New Delhi, in collaboration with Envision Energy India.

The Jeevan Setu Project is a grassroots movement initiated to promote health, nutrition, and hygiene among rural communities, especially women, children, and adolescents in Madhya Pradesh & Gujarat. The aim is to guide people towards healthier lives through information, services, and behaviour change.

Key initiatives of the project include:

  • Motor Skill Development Programs for children aged 3–6 at Anganwadi centers to improve cognitive ability and overall development
  • Behaviour Change Campaigns in schools focused on health, nutrition, and hygiene to foster healthy habits from early childhood
  • Promotion of Local and Seasonal Foods to enhance dietary diversity and improve nutrition practices
  • Anemia Prevention through iron-folic acid supplementation and promotion of nutritious and balanced eating habits
  • Special Health Camps for Women offering screenings for high blood pressure, diabetes, breast cancer, and cervical cancer
  • Regular Check-ups for Pregnant Women, identification and referral of high-risk pregnancies, and early detection of birth defects and developmental delays in children through departmental collaboration and capacity-building programs
  • Community Participation in Hygiene and Cleanliness with support from Gram Panchayats to encourage healthy living practices
  • Public Awareness Campaigns that also address road safety, environmental protection, and public health behaviours to strengthen collective consciousness and involvement

Envision Energy India is commemorating its 9th Anniversary of business operations & is a key partner in this initiative. The company has decided to adopt 99 Anganwadi in the States of Madhya Pradesh & Gujarat. The focus of these programs will be Health, Nutrition & Sanitation in Dhar and Agar Malwa in MP and Amreli and Bhavnagar in Gujarat, said John Shelton, CFO & Head – CSR.
