ImpactHire Spearheads Social Sector Hiring Workshop, Uniting HR Leaders and Innovators

June 6, 2024: To address the challenges of hiring within the social sector, ImpactHire, a collaborative platform that leverages the collaboration of non-profits in the hiring process, is organizing a HR workshop in Bangalore on June 15. Social leaders and various studies have often highlighted the criticality and urgency of addressing the issues of difficulty in hiring social sector professionals. The event aims to unite distinguished social sector leaders and representatives from philanthropic foundations to deliberate on crucial issues, share their insights, and propose innovative solutions. The workshop will also feature a demonstration showcasing the ImpactHire wireframes, offering a glimpse into ImpactHire’s goals and strategies.

ImpactHire Platform, unveiled by Laxman P. Joshi and Monalisa Bandyopadhyay, aims to bring a paradigm shift in the sector’s hiring landscape. ImpactHire, in collaboration with Ashoka and 20 other non-profits, helps create job opportunities for fellows by hiring crossover and other social sector candidates. The collaborative efforts and workshops deliberate on the proposed features of the ImpactHire platform.

Project ImpactHire conducted a similar workshop on the 28th of May in Mumbai, which was the first-of-a-kind workshop for HR leaders in the social sector. The event brought together 35+ HR leaders from the social sector and was also graced by senior sector leaders and representatives from philanthropic foundations. The workshop provided a platform for HR leaders to openly discuss the challenges they face in the hiring process and to discuss innovative strategies to address them. There was engaging discussion, and several possibilities were discussed for further consideration by the ImpactHire team.
