Following the COVID-19 pandemic and acceleration in digital transformation in India, there is a growing and imperative need for robust virtual training platforms. The equipment package included a speaker with amplifier along with a microphone set, a laptop, a smart TV, and a camera and extension mic for video conferencing.

The Chengalpattu District administers 49 public health centers (PHCs) and 284 health subcenters (HSCs). Many of these PHCs have recently earned the prestigious National Quality Assurance Standards (NQAS) Certification, highlighting their adherence to superior healthcare standards. In order to continue the momentum to offer high-quality services, this initiative is aimed at ensuring that the healthcare professionals in the region receive timely, effective training, enabling rapid dissemination of essential information within the medical community. These tools also facilitate enhanced collaboration with stakeholders from the Health Department and the Government of India, driving nationwide healthcare improvements.

Speaking about this initiative, Mr. George Alexander Muthoot, Managing Director, Muthoot Finance, said, “We believe that effective training and access to the right technology and devices can transform healthcare services, ensuring that every individual receives the best possible care. Our investment in providing advanced audiovisual aids for Chengalpattu District is a step towards revolutionizing healthcare training, and by equipping the district with these tools, we aim to empower healthcare professionals and enhance their skills, thereby improving healthcare delivery. We are proud to support the district in their mission to provide top-quality healthcare and are committed to continuing our efforts to uplift and empower communities across India.”
