Muthoot Finance’s Scholarship Programme Has Disbursed Over ₹5.26 Crore, Enabling 512 Professionals Build Careers in Medicine, Engineering and Nursing

Kochi, October 5, 2026: Applications are now open for the 10th edition of Muthoot Finance’s Muthoot M. George Higher Education Scholarship, a programme that has helped create 512 professionals, including 176 doctors, 184 engineers and 152 nurses, over the past nine editions. With ₹5.26 crore disbursed so far, the programme has supported deserving students in pursuing professional education and building careers in their chosen fields. The latest edition offers 120 scholarships for the 2026–27 academic year, including 30 for students from Kerala pursuing MBBS, B.Tech and B.Sc. Nursing. The scholarship provides financial support throughout the four-year course. Eligible students from Kerala can apply until October 17, 2026.

Under the 2026-27 edition, each selected MBBS student will receive ₹2.40 lakh, while students pursuing B.Tech and B.Sc. Nursing will receive ₹1.20 lakh each, covering the four-year course duration.

The selection process for students from Kerala is currently underway. Eligible students can apply online at https://www.muthootcsr.com/higher-education-scholarships/. Applicants are required to select the region corresponding to their permanent place of residence and not the location of the college where they have secured admission.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must:

  • Have secured 90% or an equivalent grade in Class 12 (+2).
  • Have a family income not exceeding ₹2 lakh per annum.
  • Have qualified the relevant entrance examination and secured admission to a recognised educational institution.

With ₹5.26 crore disbursed over nine editions and 512 new professionals across medicine, engineering and nursing, the Muthoot M. George Higher Education Scholarship reflects Muthoot Finance’s sustained commitment to expanding access to professional education and contributing to India’s skilled workforce. As the programme enters its 10th edition, this commitment continues with another cohort of deserving students being supported in pursuing professional education and building careers that contribute to society.
