NTPC has established digital classrooms, libraries, hostels, AI & robotics laboratories, and STEM learning facilities across various regions. Utkarsh Scholarship Scheme and coaching support for competitive examinations have further helped students pursue higher education and career opportunities.

Solar streetlights, community halls, roads, bridges, bus shelters, educational institutions, and hospitals developed with NTPC’s support have enhanced connectivity, safety, healthcare, education, and access to essential services.
The organisation has also contributed to heritage conservation & cultural preservation. Conservation of the historic Vikramshila site in Bihar reflects NTPC’s commitment to preserving India’s cultural legacy while advancing sustainable development.
Promoting Sporting Excellence
Sports development forms another integral part of NTPC’s community engagement efforts. Through partnerships with the Archery Association of India (AAI), the National Sports Development Fund (NSDF), and the Sports Authority of India (SAI), NTPC supports talent identification, training, and athlete development. Its Archery Excellence Programmes and commitment to establishing archery academies in Odisha are helping nurture future sporting talent.
The company’s steadfast support to Indian rugby and rural sports competitions is further promoting participation and opportunities for young athletes across diverse communities.

Reconstruction of schools and healthcare facilities, support for redevelopment initiatives in Uttarakhand, and strengthening of emergency response infrastructure reflect the company’s commitment to community resilience.
The organisation is also supporting the development of a Command & Control Centre at Visakhapatnam to strengthen coordinated disaster response and preparedness.
