P&G SEHAT flags off Mobile Healthcare Unit in Goa

30th January 2026: P&G SEHAT– the healthcare focused CSR initiative of Procter & Gamble Health Limited (P&G Health India) – maker of trusted healthcare brands like Neurobion, Evion, Livogen, etc. – today flagged off a new Mobile Health Care Unit (MHU) at the Usgaon village in Ponda district of Goa, in the presence of Dr. Sandesh Madkaikar, Chief Medical Officer, Non-Communicable Disease Cell, Directorate of Health Services, Goa, and Mr. Sanjay Gaude, Sarpanch – Usgaon Panchayat and officials from P&G Health India.

The MHU, operated by P&G SEHAT’s NGO partners HelpAge India, offers free of cost primary medical consultations, 36 types of diagnostic tests, essential medicines, and bi- monthly health camps, through a team comprising of an MBBS doctor, pharmacist, community mobiliser, and a driver. The team will also facilitate community members in accessing government health schemes, conduct health awareness and drive awareness on maternal health, nutrition, and common NCDs.

With this initiative, P&G SEHAT aims to enhance access to free primary and preventive healthcare across underserved communities in Ponda district.

Dr. Sandesh Madkaikar, Chief Medical Officer- Directorate of Health Services, Goa, said, “Mobile healthcare units are very helpful in taking primary and preventative care deeper in the communities. This initiative by P&G SEHAT will provide essential services like early diagnosis and timely interventions, supporting better health outcomes and improving the overall health indicators in the communities. We welcome the efforts of P&G SEHAT and HelpAge India in strengthening last-mile public healthcare services.”

Yugit Bansal, Plant Head – Goa Manufacturing Site, P&G Health India, said, “P&G SEHAT has continued to focus on providing access to free health care and health care awareness in underserved communities across the country. The new Mobile Health Care unit flagged off today will serve the people of Goa by providing essential medical services, early diagnostics and preventive health education, with the aim to support stronger health outcomes and empower communities toward better wellbeing. We remain committed to advancing a healthier India through meaningful partnerships and impact-led initiatives.”

P&G SEHAT has been active in Goa since 2019 reaching over 50,000 households across Valpoi, Dharbandora, and Canacona, reinforcing P&G Health’s long-term commitment in improving health indicators of the state. The initiative also held a gynaecology camp in Usgaon, to promote maternal health and nutrition awareness.
