Smart Shiksha: A CSR initiative of SBI-SG Global Securities Services Pvt. Ltd. and DEVI Sansthan Launched Smart Classrooms Across 40 Government Schools in Uttar Pradesh

21st July 2025: In a significant stride towards transforming foundational education, SBI-SG Global Securities Services Pvt. Ltd., in collaboration with DEVI Sansthan, inaugurated smart classrooms in 40 government schools across the districts of Ayodhya, Lucknow, Gorakhpur, and Varanasi. The launch ceremony recently took place at the World Unity Convention Centre, CMS LDA Campus, Lucknow.

The event was graced by Mr. Mrigank Jain, Managing Director of SBI-SG Global Securities Services Pvt. Ltd., as the Chief Guest, alongside other dignitaries, including Shri Alok Ranjan, IAS, Former Chief Secretary, Government of Uttar Pradesh.

The initiative, part of SBI-SG Global Securities Services Pvt Ltd’s CSR program “Smart Shiksha”, aims to bring digital learning tools and innovative teaching methods to underserved communities. Each classroom is equipped with interactive learning resources aligned with the ALfA (Accelerating Learning for All) pedagogy, a revolutionary approach to foundational literacy and numeracy.

Marking the occasion, an intensive teacher training workshop was held on the sidelines, where 160 government school teachers—40 each from Kakori, Sarojini Nagar, Nagar Chetra Zone-1, and Maal blocks—are undergoing hands-on training in the ALfA methodology. This peer-to-peer and activity-based program is designed to enable children to read and perform basic math within just 30–45 days.

“This is not just a technological upgrade, it’s an educational transformation,” said Dr. Sunita Gandhi, Founder of DEVI Sansthan. “The ALfA program proves that every child can learn quickly when given the right tools and support. With the backing of visionary partners like SBI-SG Global Securities Services Pvt Ltd and the dedication of our educators, we are scaling this transformation across Uttar Pradesh.”

This initiative represents a powerful confluence of corporate responsibility and educational innovation, aimed at ensuring that no child is left behind in their learning journey.
