The Expert “Waste management organization, Green Worms (supported by JSW, and cement firms ACC, Ultratech, Dalmia, and Chettinad), aims to create dignified jobs by deploying the strategy of the circular economy, to eradicate both plastic pollution and poverty. Their endeavor (they report collecting 39400 MT of plastic waste, and creating 520 dignified jobs for women) is partnered by some government departments/ municipalities, and few international alliances.” Humanity is gradually, but surely, getting to understand the serious implications of Climate Change upon all forms of life on Earth. A novel step towards environmental conservation

Two massive sculptures made of scrap metal, with the collaboration of M3M Foundation and GDMA or the Gurugram Metropolitan Development Authority, adorn two main intersections of Gurugram, IFFCO Chowk and Khusboo Chowk. Sculpture artists like Sushil Sakhuja and Anuj Poddar whose sculptures are part of the gifts given by the Hon. Prime Minister to representatives of other countries, along with sixteen artists chosen under the Sankalp program who come from various states of the country have made these sculptures. The chairperson and Trustee of M3M Foundation Dr. Payal Kanodia said that three more important s cul p ture wh i ch wi l l be manufactured from industrial and plastic waste will soon be installed for the residents of Gurugram.

Panasonic successfully concludes its fourth edition of Harit Umang on World Environment Day

6th June,2023- An environmental awareness programme, titled Harit Umang – Joy of Green, concluded its’ fourth edition on World Environment day June 5th 2023. This was organized by Panasonic Life Solutions India (PLSIND), a diversified technology company. Taking its commitment to a greener tomorrow a step further, it planted approximately three lakh trees. Distribution of solar lanterns to off – grid communities around their factory area has also been planned. The company has successfully been creating awareness around responsible e-waste disposal since the past three years with “Diwali Wali Safaai” as part of its e-waste awareness drive. 1 Tree per home commitment from Provident Housing kicks off as a World Environment Month initiative 

Provident Housing Limited, a large-scale community developer, and a 100% subsidiary of Puravankara Limited, initiated its 1 tree per home commitment at its’ upcoming project in Bagalur, Bengaluru. This included a mass plantation drive covering 10 % trees at the site. The company has planned such drives across 4 more of its’ projects, and this campaign will coincide with the World Environment Day, June 5th 2023 today. Provident Housing will give a tree to each community resident family within its’ campus under the 1 tree per home initiative. This campaign is focussed around Provident’s commitment to sustainable practices and environmental conservation. Simpl observes World Environment Day by planning month long employee activities focussed on sustainability

3 June 2023: Simpl, a 1-tap Check-Out network, announced an environment friendly month long campaign for its employees with a focus on sustainability. The Simpl environment friendly pledge eliminates the use of paper cups, and includes waste segregation, and energy saving at the workplace. A month long employee engagement activities have been planned with the theme of sustainable living. This initiative of Simpl will include the symbolic act of support towards World Environment Day of switching off all lights from 3 pm to 4 pm in its 55,000 square feet workspace in Bengaluru on June 5th. An external sustainability champion will be engaged during this month, for sharing insights on sustainable living with the employees at Simpl. This will help

Nestlé India takes a green step – partners with Greenline to deploy LNG powered fleet

  Nestlé India and GreenLine, pioneers of LNG-fuelled heavy trucking logistics in India, have taken a green step towards creating a sustainable future through custom designed container trucks. This partnership aims at reducing the carbon footprint of the logistics operations of Nestlé India. Nestlé’s factory in Sanand, Gujarat, and Bhiwandi, Maharashtra will see the deployment of Greenline’s custom created 46 feet long containers. The LNG Powered fleet from Greenline comprises state- of –the- art trucks that are manufactured by Blue Energy Motors. By significantly reducing Sulphur Oxides, Carbon Dioxide, Nitrogen Oxides, particulate matter emissions and Carbon Monoxide, emissions reduction from road logistics operations will be enabled.  Mr. Sanjay Khajuria, Director, Corporate Affairs and Sustainability, Nestlé India said, that they were
