Over 10,000 trees planted in 48 hours during Galgotias University’s environmental initiative – “3G – Galgotias Goes Green

15th November 2023 : Academic institution – Galgotias University executed an environmental initiative recently, titled “3G – Galgotias Goes Green.” This registered the planting of over 10,000 trees within a duration of just 48 hours. Dr. Dhruv Galgotia, the CEO of Galgotias University, spearheaded this event, which witnessed a large turnout in terms of participation from students, faculty, and alumni. This initiative also marked the university’s commitment to environmental sustainability. Individuals were encouraged to contribute to this environmental cause by planting trees in their homes or offices and share their geo-tagged pictures with the university. 2 November, 2023: The teachers and learners of the JBCN International School, Parel joined hands recently, to successfully execute a tree plantation drive at Kalamb which is located approximately 100 kms from Mumbai. This initiative went a long way in supporting their local community and a larger cause of nature. Forests of Hopefulness, an environmental NGO supported the initiative. The successful event highlighted the commitment that the youth today have as custodians or protectors of the environment for the future generations. This collaboration saw numerous saplings being planted, which included 19 different medicinal plants and trees that were carefully selected to enhance the local ecosystem.                                            26th October,2023: North Gujarat faces a pressing issue if water scarcity, and Energy Maharatna ONGC, has stepped in to successfully execute an innovative project. This novel project makes potable water from waste water that is released by its Effluent Treatment Plants (ETP.)
