Akshaya Patra scales up its relief feeding efforts in maharashtra, serves over 47 lakhs meals

News Update/Press Release Mumbai, 26th May 2021: With the country grappling with the second wave of the pandemic, the Akshaya Patra Foundation decided to scale up its feeding efforts in the Maharashtra region with the support of the Government to help the vulnerable populations affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. The Akshaya Patra has served over 47 Lakh meals across Mumbai, Thane, Pune, Nasik, and Aurangabad.  The foundation is serving cooked meals, food relief kits with essential groceries, Happiness Kits, Rail Yatri Food Kits. In Maharashtra, this initiative is being undertaken through the Foundation’s kitchens in Thane, Pune, and Nagpur.
