The programme was launched by Hon’ble Home Minister of Karnataka, Shri. Basavaraj Bommai on Saturday, 15 May 2021. Through this centre, Akshaya Patra will serve 1,000 free cooked meals to COVID frontline warriors, industrial labourers and economically disadvantaged people between 12.00 pm to 3.00 pm every day. News Update/ Press Release Mumbai, 30 April 2021: Supporting the Government’s COVID-19 vaccination programme, Ambuja Cement foundation (ACF) has facilitated in vaccinating over 75,000 beneficiaries in Phase-2 of the national immunisation drive, including almost 70,000 at-risk community members, 621 frontline workers and staff of ACF. The Government of India rolled out the phase-wise vaccination programme in January 2021 to reach the entire population.
