3rd January 2025 – The Madras Craft Foundation and the DakshinaChitra Museum today announce the inauguration of their newly installed Solar Power Plant, a key initiative to integrate sustainable energy practices into preserving and showcasing South India’s rich cultural heritage. Funded and supported by Muthoot Finance, this solar power project underscores a shared commitment to environmental sustainability, energy efficiency, and cultural preservation. Muthoot Finance earmarked Rs. 25 lakhs for this project with an aim to align modern technology with heritage conservation. 16th December 2024: In a significant step towards ensuring child-friendly hygiene and sanitation facilities for educational institutions in remote areas of Assam, Sunbird Trust, with financial support from NTT DATA, a global leader in digital business and IT services, has enhanced sanitation facilities in schools on Majuli Island, Assam. The collaboration has led to the construction of restroom facilities at Berbhanga Friendship School in Dhemaji District and Ecoland Academy on Majuli Island, ensuring safe and hygienic restroom access for over 180 students and 24 staff members yearly. 14th November 2024: Upholding its philosophy of ‘We Give Where We Live,’ TELUS Digital India, a leader in AI-powered customer experience and business process solutions, recently conducted its annual TELUS Days of Giving (TDOG) school refurbishment volunteer activity. Benefitting more than 1,300 students and 19 teachers, over 600 team member volunteers revamped the Nehru Smarak Inter College to improve the school’s learning environment and infrastructure.
