Bharat Ratna 2019 – Pranab Mukherji, Nanaji Deshmukh, Bhupen Hazarika​

CSR NEWS The Bharat Ratna is the highest civilian award of the Republic of India, instituted in 1954. The award is conferred “in recognition of exceptional service/performance of the highest order”, without distinction of race, occupation, position, or sex. The recommendations for the Bharat Ratna are made by the Prime Minister to the President, with a maximum of three nominees being awarded per year. The 2019 Bharat Ratna award has been bestowed upon three great personalities, namely former President Pranab Mukherjee, Social worker Nanaji Deshmukh and singer Bhupen Hazarika. Nanaji Deshmukh and singer Bhupen Hazarika were awarded Bharat Ratna posthumously. Pranab Mukherjee served as the 13th President of India from 2012 until 2017. Telangana gets 25th safe water station on World Water Day

CSR NEWS Safe Water Network (SWN) and Honeywell India (NYSE: HON) announced the launch of the 25th Honeywell-funded iJal safe water station in Telangana to mark World Water Day. These 25 safe water stations are located in Karimnagar, Adilabad, Warangal, Khammam, and Nalgonda districts, and serve approximately 94,000 people in areas that lack safe drinking water.. The Honeywell-Safe Water Network initiative addresses a critical need in the region that suffers groundwater contamination from high levels of fluoride. Water and sanitation-related illnesses account for 70-80 percent of diseases in this area. They also have program to raise awareness about safe drinking water in the region.  Safe Water Network works with supporters like Honeywell to demonstrate that large-scale impact can be achieved

Dr. Subhash Kadam, Principal of Dalit Mitra Kadam Guruji Science & Arts College, Mangalwedha, Solapur, Maharashtra, an innocuous person but is known more for conducting and organizing state and national level seminars since 2005 on extraction of noble metals i.e. copper, silver, Gold, Rhodium and platinum. After he obtained doctorate in sciences from Shivaji University, Kolhapur, in 1978, Kadam got doctorate in Kinetics & Mechanism of oxidation of Imides by peroxidysulphate in presence of silver catalyst.
