
Hindustani flautist, Singers Vijay Prakash and Shri Pravin Godkhindi perform at ‘Music for Meals’ by The Akshaya Patra Foundation
4th March 2024: The Government of India’s implementing partner for the mid-may meal project, The Akshaya Patra Foundation, hosted Music for Meals, which is an annual mega event, featuring Vijay Prakash, renowned playback singer of ‘Singara Siriye’ (Kantara) fame, and Pravin Godkhindi, acclaimed Indian Classical Hindustani Flute Player. The event was aimed to blend the harmony of music with the mission of feeding millions of children in need. The concert started with Sri Pravin Godkhindi’s harmonious jugalbandi with his son, Sri Shadaj Godkhindi, wherein they performed Pahadi raga. This was followed by an electrifying duet by Sri Vijay Prakash and Sri Pravin Godkhindi, featuring popular numbers such as Kaadhal Rojave, Singara Siriye, and Jai Ho! The entry to the event
