HCL Foundation takes a step towards furthering a sustainable planet by planting 47000+ saplings across India

The 47th anniversary of the HCL Group was marked by the plantation of 47,000+ saplings of different native species trees from across India. HCL Foundation, the CSR arm of HCL Tech, carried out this initiative. This mega plantation drive in India was spread across the cities of Bengaluru, Madurai, Chennai, Coimbatore, Vijayawada, Lucknow, Nagpur, Hyderabad, Hardoi, Thoothkundi, North and South 24 Paraganas and Noida. The plantation drive at government schools, HCL Tech campuses, forested areas, dedicated lands for mass afforestation saw the inclusion of family members of HCL Tech employees, NGO partners, school students, community volunteers, and women’s groups. Tata Chemicals initiates a tree plantation drive  to preserve the environment -70,000+ trees in 1 hour

 18th July, 2023:A tree plantation drive “ My Greening Hour ’’ in which over 70,000 trees were planted in 100 locations across India within an hour was undertaken by Tata Chemicals Society for Rural Development ( TCSRD.) The main focus of this nationwide initiative was to create an awareness about how important trees were for our survival, how they served the local communities inclusively and over a period increased the carbon absorption capacity. This initiative received support from Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra, Gujrat and Telangana. This activity was organised on July 12, 2023 between 4-5 pm. 100 young innovators to bring their planet-positive ideas to life as beVisioneers – the Mercedes-Benz fellowship programme kickstarts environmental action.

  6th July, 2023:A one-of-a-kind Mercedes Benz fellowship for environment action, beVisioneers, commences this July. The first 100 young innovators who have been chosen from more than 1000 registrants, are all set for their 12-month learning journey with the aim of bringing their planet- positive ideas to life. A 19-year-old from Delhi, Muskan is keen to counter two problems with a twin solution. Muskan is working on a B2B business model of countering food waste and plastic pollution, through biodegradable film that is made from banana biomass waste. Muskan hopes to develop her ideas further, by collaborating with other innovators and entrepreneurs. She feels that this fellowship will allow her to bridge the gap between her theoretical knowledge and practical

Project KEEP drives Collective Action in Waste Ecosystem of Pondicherry On World Oceans Day The successful completion of 75 events during the 75th anniversary year of India on the occasion of World Ocean Day was announced by Project KEEP Namma Pondy Clean and Pondicherry Municipality. 23 June, 2023: Multi-business corporation and FMCG conglomerate, Dharampal Satyapal Group (DS Group), recently announced ‘#CatchTheRightBin’, a public awareness campaign. This campaign seeks to educate people on the importance of waste segregation at source to assist the waste management process. This drive was initiated under the brand Catch wherein the Group has introduced a solution that guides consumers on the correct bin disposal of the packaging. A novel step towards environmental conservation

Two massive sculptures made of scrap metal, with the collaboration of M3M Foundation and GDMA or the Gurugram Metropolitan Development Authority, adorn two main intersections of Gurugram, IFFCO Chowk and Khusboo Chowk. Sculpture artists like Sushil Sakhuja and Anuj Poddar whose sculptures are part of the gifts given by the Hon. Prime Minister to representatives of other countries, along with sixteen artists chosen under the Sankalp program who come from various states of the country have made these sculptures. The chairperson and Trustee of M3M Foundation Dr. Payal Kanodia said that three more important s cul p ture wh i ch wi l l be manufactured from industrial and plastic waste will soon be installed for the residents of Gurugram.

6th June,2023- An environmental awareness programme, titled Harit Umang – Joy of Green, concluded its’ fourth edition on World Environment day June 5th 2023. This was organized by Panasonic Life Solutions India (PLSIND), a diversified technology company. Taking its commitment to a greener tomorrow a step further, it planted approximately three lakh trees.
