21st December, 2023: Avashya Foundation, the CSR arm of Allcargo Group, an Indian born global logistics conglomerate successfully completed its Women Empowerment and Livelihood project for the marginalized women in Maharashtra. Under this project, the women from the underprivileged communities in Maharashtra, were offered three months basic and advanced tailoring and personality development training. The marginalized and underprivileged women at Dhamani and its surrounding villages – Panvel, taluka in Raigad district and Ishwar Nagar in Digha and Navi Mumbai benefitted from this in terms of upliftment and empowerment. Sankalp Manav Vikas Sanstha an NGO that is working towards socio-economic upliftment by promoting textile-based entrepreneurship for the underprivileged communities in Maharashtra, had collaborated in the implementation of this initiative. 19 December, 2023: In a joint initiative between Brigade Hospitality Services Limited (BHSL), Dr. Sandhya Foundation and CANS Multi-Specialty Hospital a comprehensive health checkup for underprivileged girls was conducted. Auxilium Navajeevana, a non-governmental, non-profitable voluntary organization that is dedicated to the welfare of children who are in need of care and protection was the venue of the event. Preventive healthcare measures were emphasized by conducting specialized ultrasound scanning services and an eye camp. Thorough examinations for children who required early intervention were carried out by CANS Multi-Specialty Hospital. 7 December, 2023: ITC Ltd.’s instant noodle and pasta brand, Sunfeast YiPPee is all set to launch its’ new initiative.  The new campaign will revamp playground equipment in city parks using waste plastic which is all set to roll out in Metro cities. It will cover Bangalore, Mumbai, Delhi-NCR and Kolkata. Through its’ ‘YiPPee! 6th December, 2023: Signify (Euronext: LIGHT) has planned the illumination of 10 Brahmaputra Volleyball League (BVL) grassroot courts in Assam.  The inauguration ceremony which took place recently at the Community Volleyball Court BVL Barbari village center in Nalbari marked the commencement of the next phase of the project. 24 November, 2023: A $6.5 million senior secured loan to produce and distribute 1 million improved cookstoves to the states of Madhya Pradesh and Odisha in rural India was signed by ADB – The Asian Development Bank and Greenway Grameen Infra Private Limited. A first-loss liquidity reserve of $3.25 million has been included from the Climate Innovation and Development Fund (CIDF), administered by ADB. There will be a significant reduction in black carbon and carbon monoxide emissions as the improved stoves reduce the fuel needs by 65% and the generation of smoke by 70% as compared to the typical and traditional indoor stoves or mud chulhas. Through this project, the cost of new cookstoves for rural households will be subsidized.
