RSSDI and Sanofi’s Type 1 Diabetes Social Impact program delivers positive outcomes for more than 1300 children

27th September, 2023: The Research Society for the Study of Diabetes in India (RSSDI) and Sanofi have been engaged in a three-year-old programme. This programme has begun showing significant impact on the lives of children who have been affected by Type 1 Diabetes Mellitus (T1D). As part of the People-to-People Health Foundation (PPHF) more than 1300 young patients young TID affected patients nationwide have been enrolled out of which 69 patients are from Maharashtra. This program is imparting better education on TID management to the 1300 children. The program’s intervention over the last 9 months spanning September 2022 to June 2023 has reduced the number of children experiencing hypoglycaemia (1 to 4 times a week) by 46% as compared to

UK Football Tour for underprivileged children from Maharashtra,Rajasthan and Karnataka being hosted by OSCAR Foundation

21 September, 2023: Mumbai based OSCAR Foundation, a community-based Sports for Development (S4D) has announced a tour to the United Kingdom, the fourth so far, for underprivileged children. The 15-day tour to the UK on the 1st October 2023, will see the participation of 10 girls and boys from the underserved communities of Mumbai. The Foundation is also sending 2 girls form Jhunjhunu, Rajasthan and 4 children from Karnataka from its villages near Yadgir. The selected children will participate in a cultural exchange programme and also play friendly football matches with school students in Europe. Signify launches Ratri Chaupal CSR program to create safer spaces for rural women

19 September,2023 :  With an aim to create safer spaces for women living in rural villages, Signify (Euronext: LIGHT), the world leader in lighting, has launched a first-of-its-kind CSR program called Ratri Chaupal in India. Fortis Healthcare and Coal India sign MOU to treat Thalassemic children

31st July, 2023 –Underprivileged children suffering from Thalassemia will now receive treatment under the flagship initiative of CIL – “Thalassemia Bal Sewa Yojana.” Fortis Healthcare has joined hands with CIL in this initiative and a partnership has come into effect through an MOU (Memorandum of Understanding.) BPCL supports Cochlear Implantation for 30 Underprivileged Children in Maharashtra through its Healthcare initiative.

4 July, 2023: A significant healthcare initiative primarily aimed at the profoundly deaf children of Maharashtra, was executed by Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) recently. In this CSR Initiative, BPCL partnered with IMERMIRC – the Indorewala Memorial Educational & Medical Institute & Research Centre, to support 30 underprivileged children in Maharashtra for cochlear implantation surgeries. Individuals who have experienced inner-ear damage, and for whom external hearing aids don’t prove beneficial, experience enhanced hearing after undergoing this life changing procedure of Cochlear Implantation. Empowerment for Underprivileged Women in Chennai through the collaboration of Rapido Auto and ANEW

 28 June, 2023:India’s Auto and Bike taxi platform, Rapido Auto recently partnered with ANEW (Association for Non-traditional Employment for Women) in Chennai. This objective of this collaboration was to generate employment opportunities for underprivileged women by encouraging them to become auto-rickshaw drivers on the Rapido platform and providing them autos for the same. Help Age India report reveals that India’s Older Women face the brunt of Exclusion: Social, Financial & Digital with rise in Dependency and Abuse

15 June, 2023:Help Age India, released Its’ National 2023 report– “Women & Ageing: Invisible or Empowered? a day ahead of World Elder Abuse Awareness Day on June 15th. The report covered the entire length and breadth of the country including rural & urban India. These comprised 20 states, 2 UTs and 5 metro cities including, Maharashtra and Mumbai. The sample size of 7911, included various socio-economic categories. The sample size in Maharashtra including Mumbai had a sample size of 619 respondents. Out of the elder women residing in Mumbai 61 % owned some kind of asset, namely vehicles, house and agricultural or nonagricultural land. The balance 39 % do not own any moveable or immoveable property. Out of the women
