New Delhi, February 10, 2022: Vitamin Angels India has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with OmniActive Health Technologies (OmniActive) to provide Vitamin A supplementation (VAS) in Buldhana, Nashik, Aurangabad, Nanded, Nagpur, Dhule and Parbhani district of Maharashtra. OmniActive has provided a grant to Vitamin Angels India to reach 50,000 children under the age of five over a period of four months. Vitamin Angels India will also undertake capacity building of 300 frontline workers for the distribution process. PHDFWF in association with Inner Wheel District 301 distributed 10 E-rickshaws to needy women living in different resettlement colonies of Delhi at the PHD house, New Delhi. E-rickshaws were distributed to these underprivileged women to make themselves self-reliant to support their families and betterment for their children’s education. Smt. Collectively, these units provide employment to close to 75 women in these districts. The launch of the two units is part of PNB Housing’s CSR initiative – Pehel – to support the financial inclusion of women from the weaker sections of society and help them become financially independent and self-reliant. India, January 2022: Retail titan Marks & Spencer aligned profits from sales of masks (M&S product) in stores to Goonj to support the livelihood of women making masks and MyPads for distribution with family kits to rural communities in Uttarakhand, Delhi, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu, Jharkhand, Odisha, West Bengal, Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Karnataka, etc. Two hundred thousand masks and twenty-six thousand clean cloth sanitary pads (MyPads) were produced by 40 women from less privileged communities in Goonj’s processing centers in Delhi, Chennai and Rishikesh over six months. Umeed 1000 Cyclothon- An initiative to cater school-going underprivileged children

Mumbai, December 16, 2021: RBL Bank’s flagship CSR initiative ‘UMEED 1000’ Cyclothon, a social endeavor to support Inclusive Education, culminated successfully today, having raised funds worth 5.20 crores. 159 cyclists, including 59 RBL Bank employees, collectively covered a distance of 1,14,289 kms. The proceeds of the initiative will be donated to Udbhav RBL School, in Fatehnagar, Hyderabad, a school adopted by the Bank in 2019 and catering to underprivileged children and also to the new school adopted by the Bank for children with special needs under the Udbhav RBL School franchise, in Nallasopara, Maharashtra. Tata Motors combats Malnutrition and cures more than 200 Children

Child and maternal malnutrition continue to be the most challenging risk factor for health loss in India. There has been an alarmingly high rate of under nutrition and child stunting among children in India. The Global Hunger Index (2020) — which is calculated on the basis of total undernourishment of the population, child stunting, wasting and child mortality — places India at the 94th spot among 107 countries. nEWS uPDATE/pRESS rELEASE National, 15th, November 2021: On occasion of Children’s Day, Aster Hospitals in India, as a part of Aster Volunteers Global CSR initiative has launched the ‘Second Life- Because Little Lives Matter’ initiative. The yearlong initiative is aimed at supporting the medical treatment of disadvantaged children, where the initial aim is to help treat at least 100 children below the age of 12 years by providing free paediatric surgeries. The initiative extends help to deserving children who are being treated across Aster Hospitals based in 5 States in India. This includes common childhood surgeries such as appendicitis, intussusception, empyema and paediatric urology surgeries as well as complex clinical surgeries including bone marrow transplant, liver transplants, heart surgeries, etc.
