Women Empowerment in real sense

News Update/Press Release The Supreme Court on September 8 2021, lifted the decade old ban on women getting commissioned permanently in the armed forces. Until the judgement, women were only allowed for short commission service in the armed forces, that too after the completion of their graduation. Allowing them entry into the NDA (National Defence Academy) will further boost up their confidence and get them closer to achieve their passion in the armed forces, since they will be joining at a very young age.  The Supreme Court stressed that it “cannot belie the aspirations of young girls” as it rejected the Union government’s request to delay the first-ever examination for women candidates for their entry into the National Defence Academy

CSR TIMES DIGITAL ISSUE 10th November 2021: Wadhwani Foundation and Wadhwani Catalyst Fund today announced a strategic partnership with Frontier Markets to empower and support up to 10,000 women in rural India over two and half years by helping them to earn income independently. Referred to as ‘Saral Jeevan Sahelis’, these are local women from villages who will be sourced, recruited and skilled, and then provided an opportunity to earn a livelihood. Sahelis are an integral influencer in rural communities, especially their villages. A Sustainable Model of Nutrition for the Specially-abled Children

News update/Press Release Living with a disability is a challenge. Living in poverty is a challenge. And so, for underprivileged children with disabilities, life can be unbelievably hard. For them, food and basic survival are far more important than any other parameter. Surviving must precede thriving. For over two decades, we worked to give support in several ways to children with severe disabilities. Our efforts have been focused on children with locomotor disabilities, epilepsy, cerebral palsy, vision difficulties, and those with multiple disabilities. The support we receive from organizations such as Allergan, an AbbVie company, enables us to provide these children with the nutritional and rehabilitative assistance they require to live their best possible life, even during the ongoing pandemic.

This initiative is committed to primarily help women and bring about socio-economic changes in their lives. News update/Press release Maharashtra, Aug 2021:  Vinati Organics Ltd in partnership with Samhita and Collective Good Foundation has launched HERS (Health, Education, REVIVE, Skilling), a series of initiatives designed to address fundamental issues faced by women in India including education, sanitation, basic hygiene and employability.                              As per the World Economic Forum’s Global Gender Gap Report 2021, India ranks 140. The pandemic has further impacted livelihoods, putting 4 out of every 10 women out of the workforce. News Update/Press Release 18 August 2021, Mumbai: The Akshaya Patra Foundation’s 58th kitchen, sponsored by Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL), was inaugurated by Shri R.
