Tata Power and the ICICI Foundation unite to launch the ‘GhanVan’ tree plantation program, aiming to plant 250,000 indigenous trees in the Western Ghats

 05 January 2024— With the belief that Sustainable Is Attainable, Tata Power, One of India’s largest integrated power companies, joined hands with ICICI Foundation, the CSR arm of ICICI Bank and its Group Companies, to launch ‘Project GhanVan’ – a visionary tree plantation programme aimed at fostering environmental conservation. The formal Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed as a part of the collaboration by senior officials of both the organisations. Over the next three years, the project plans to plant 2.5 lakh indigenous trees across 75 acres of fertile regions in the catchment areas of Tata Power Hydro locations at Bhivpuri, Khopoli and Bhira in Maharashtra, which is part of Western Ghats. CBM India commemorates the International Day of Persons with Disabilities by recognizing their achievements and resilience

21 December, 2023: CBM India, a nonprofit organization working towards improving the lives of people with disabilities across India, commemorated the International Day of Persons with Disabilities in Bengaluru. The event witnessed a turnout of 400 attendees, comprising CBM India staff, local authorities, and persons with disabilities who are actively engaged in the transformative programs of CBM India. The venue for the event held on the 19th of December 2023, was Brundavan School in Jigani Hobali, Anekal Taluk, Bengaluru. “Jalagam” the Capacity Building & Experience sharing workshop series inaugurated by SM Sehgal Foundation and DCB Bank

1 December, 2023: S M Sehgal Foundation established in 1999 as a public charitable trust and DCB Bank, a new-generation private sector bank with 439 branches (as of 30th September 2023) across India collaborated with NIRDPR as    the knowledge partner recently. The 10th batch of SBI YFI Fellows drives rural development impacting 100,000 lives in 250+ villages of India    

                           3 November, 2023: The valedictory programme of the 10th batch of The SBI Foundation’s Youth for India program concluded at SBILD, Bangalore. The batch of 67 dedicated fellows who completed the 13-month fellowship, presented their contributions to rural development to the 13 NGO partners present there. There are 580+ SBI YFI alumni who are working in the development sector in India. The projects across 12 thematic areas are aligned with 10 UN Sustainable development goals. A significant impact has already been created in 250+ villages in 20 states across the country. A Skill-Training Programme to support underprivileged youth introduced byFlipkart Foundation and Smile Foundation

19 October, 2023:A livelihood programme to empower underprivileged youth was introduced through a collaboration between the charitable arm of the Flipkart Group, The Flipkart Foundation and an Indian Development organization, the Smile Foundation. This partnership will equip young individuals with industry relevant skills and will specifically focus on Banking, Financial Services, and Insurance (BFSI) soft skills and personality development. As part of a key focus area of this collaboration two strategically located Smile Twin e-Learning Programme (SteP) centers in Bengaluru.
