 May 25, 2023: Signify (Euronext: LIGHT),a leading global name in lighting, has impacted  the lives of 32,000 people residing in 43 villages in Majuli Island, Assam, with solar street lighting. This initiative will greatly enhance the safety of local citizens. This project is executed in collaboration with ESAF or the Evangelical Social Action Forum. It is a part of the company CSR program, Har Ghar Roshan, with a strong focus on sustainable rural development. Valvoline™ India commits to a greener future by initiating a green drive week with Sustainable Initiatives

                                         19 May, 2023: Global lubricant manufacturer Valvoline Cummins Private Limited (“Valvoline Cummins”), organised a green drive week with a theme ‘Sustainability, Nature and the Pollinator.’ This initiative that was aimed at creating a more sustainable and resilient world, encouraged all employees, associates and distributors to work together to cherish and value our planet Earth. A tree plantation drive at Valvoline India’s manufacturing facility in Ambernath, Maharashtra was undertaken during this initiative. The event saw employees planting trees in the periphery of the company. The children of the channel partners, employees, mechanics, drivers, and students who had received a scholarship under the Muskan Scholarship program by Valvoline participated in a poster making competition. A fillip to India’s clean Energy Revolution –  Tata Power & Network 18 unite to inaugurate the Sustainable is Attainable Fest on May 17th

A mass movement Sustainable is Attainable (SIA) initiated by Tata Power, one of India’s largest integrated power companies in association with News 18 is gaining more momentum with the inauguration of the SIA Fest in New Delhi on May 17th. The keynote speech will be delivered by Hon’ble Union Power Minister Shri RK Singh and Hon’ble Union Minister of Environment, Forest and Climate Change Shri Bhupender Yadav will deliver a special address. The event will see participation from Union Ministers, Ambassadors, State level top bureaucrats, leaders and celebrities form diverse field.   This Fest will create an open forum for dialogue that will drive the adoption of green energy in India and is being cited as a big step forward

Transforming the lives of 470 villagers through Electrification

PRESS RELEASE November 8, 2021:  Prominent E-Commerce based Asian direct selling company QNET announced a new project in partnership with Global Himalayan Expedition (GHE) through its social impact arm, the RYTHM Foundation, to bring solar energy to remote tribal communities in the state of Meghalaya and upgrade the healthcare infrastructure in the region. The project titled, ‘Empowering North-East India’ aims to bring electricity to 470 villagers and solar power to a primary healthcare centre catering to over 23,000 residents in the region. In the first phase, RYTHM Foundation has pledged its support to the project for a period of one year. Plastic-free packaging for a Sustainable Ecosystem

Bengaluru, October 6, 2021: For the ongoing largest ever edition of Big Fashion Festival, being held from October 3 to 10, Myntra has successfully implemented 100% plastic-free packaging in its entire supply chain, adhering to its commitment outlined in August 2019. In addition to its own supply chain, Myntra’s sellers have also adopted the green packaging defined by Myntra. This milestone is a significant outcome of the efforts initiated by Myntra towards aligning its seller partners and helping them with a transition path to gradually adopt sustainable packaging alternatives. LEADING THE NATION TOWARDS SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT

Development of Social Sciences in the world was plagued by three factors: (i) the unresolved dichotomy in western and eastern thinking about human nature, culture and society emerging from varying world-views; (ii) the assumed supremacy of western social sciences over the eastern texts; and (iii) the assumed supremacy of physical science knowledge when compared to the social sciences. In India, as elsewhere, Social Science education was considered less important than education in physical science and technology. For instance, national ranking systems even now does not include books published by reputed houses in the criteria for assessment for excellence (comparable to patents in physical sciences).
