Vedanta Delhi Half Marathon raises 5 million meals for children through #RunForZeroHunger

New Delhi, October 15, 2023: The second edition of the prestigious Vedanta Delhi Half Marathon which concluded earlier today witnessed the participation of 35,000+ runners in support of the cause of #RunForZeroHunger. The record participation, 50% higher than last year, extended across five events including the flagship Half Marathon, Open 10K Run, Great Delhi Run, Senior Citizens’ Run, and Champions with Disability Run. Vedanta’s commitment of providing 1 meal to children for every 1 km run added up to 5 million meals in total. These meals will be served across Vedanta’s network of nearly 6,000 Nand Ghars, which are modernized, state-of-the-art Anganwadis, in the coming weeks. Villgro and Cisco announce the successful conclusion of TVARAN accelerator Program-aimed at empowering Women led Green Tech Innovators

10 October, 2023: TVARAN an acceleration program designed to support early-stage women entrepreneurs and augment the presence of women led startups in the field of renewable energy, water and waste management and climate smart agriculture marked its successful conclusion recently.  This announcement was made by Villgro and Cisco India Cash Grant Program. RSSDI and Sanofi’s Type 1 Diabetes Social Impact program delivers positive outcomes for more than 1300 children

27th September, 2023: The Research Society for the Study of Diabetes in India (RSSDI) and Sanofi have been engaged in a three-year-old programme. This programme has begun showing significant impact on the lives of children who have been affected by Type 1 Diabetes Mellitus (T1D). As part of the People-to-People Health Foundation (PPHF) more than 1300 young patients young TID affected patients nationwide have been enrolled out of which 69 patients are from Maharashtra. This program is imparting better education on TID management to the 1300 children. The program’s intervention over the last 9 months spanning September 2022 to June 2023 has reduced the number of children experiencing hypoglycaemia (1 to 4 times a week) by 46% as compared to

The 15-day tour to the UK on the 1st October 2023, will see the participation of 10 girls and boys from the underserved communities of Mumbai. The Foundation is also sending 2 girls form Jhunjhunu, Rajasthan and 4 children from Karnataka from its villages near Yadgir. The selected children will participate in a cultural exchange programme and also play friendly football matches with school students in Europe.
