Parachute Kalpavriksha Foundation completes its sixth year and enrolled farmers register a 16% increase in productivity

Marico, one of India’s leading consumer product companies in the global beauty and wellness segment, had established their Parachute Kalpavriksha Foundation (PKF) ON World Coconut Day in 2017. The focus of the Parachute Kalpavriksha Foundation was on 3 principles. The first being enabling higher crop yield, the others being training farmers to be self-capacitated in their farms and imparting training to them on scientific and research based agricultural practices. The Foundation has plans of covering over 4 lakh acres of farmland and enrolling over 1 lakh farmers by FY25. By FY26 the aim is to generate 1000 crore incremental farm income.           Spowdi and SEWA collaborate to scale Smart Farming

A 2.5-million-member association of self-employed women, SEWA has collaborated with Green-tech innovator Spowdi, through a five-year agreement, to introduce Smart farming to thousands of women small hold farmers. This partnership will be executed under the Water Drop Initiative phase 2. This was announced post the successful completion of phase 1 of the Water Drop Initiative. Phase 1 was supported by SHL Medical, and Spowdi and SEWA has provided Smart Farming training and technology to SEWA grassroots members covering four states of India. Through the Water Drop Initiative, small-hold farmers will be enabled to transform their farming practices into smart farming. Smallholder Farmers in Maharashtra and Andhra Pradesh empowered through the collaboration of Flipkart Foundation and TechnoServe

28 August, 2023: A partnership between The Flipkart Foundation, under the Flipkart Group which is one of the leading digital commerce entities and TechnoServe which is a non-profit economic development organization, has led to the launch of a program aimed at empowering FPO’s or Farmer Producer Organizations. The lives of over 7,000 direct and indirect beneficiaries within the farmers’ communities in the two states will be positively impacted by this initiative. PRESS RELEASE Gurugram, November 10, 2021: Gurugram-based Veddis Foundation has partnered with the Himachal Pradesh State Rural Livelihood Mission (HPSRLM) to support livelihoods of 50,000 rural households across 5 districts by enabling effective governance of the SRLM program, unlocking public funds, and value chain development. The partnership with the HP government is part of Veddis Foundation’s GATI (Governance for policy Action, Transformation and Innovation) initiative and is the first investment under Veddis Foundation’s recent 100 crore commitment to accelerate irreversible large-scale social impact. News Update/Press Release Bengaluru, India – October 07, 2021: Infosys Foundation, the philanthropic and CSR arm of Infosys (NSE, BSE, NYSE: INFY), today announced the inauguration of the ‘Infosys Foundation Asha Nivas Dharamshala’ (rest house), at The Advanced Centre for Treatment, Research and Education in Cancer (ACTREC) campus of Tata Memorial Centre, in Navi Mumbai. The Infosys Foundation Asha Nivas, built to provide accommodation to underprivileged patients and their attendees, is a thirteen-storey building, with a built-up area of 2,30,850 sq. ft.
